1. This Paradise Of Ignorance

This is a song about conscious ignorance of ones or others wellbeing.

2. Looked For A Feeling

This text haunted me for years and I’ve already used it in 3-4 completely different kind of songs. Now it somehow had a perfect fit for this relatively new instrumental, which was crafted in March-April 2024. Since the album came out in October, it is one of the newest songs on “Peacemongers”.

3. Maybe If You Said

This is also a rarely new song on this album, written around early summer 2024. I sat down, named the new project “This should be a hit song” and recorded everything from scratch.

4. Rain Goes Up What

This was a mess of a track in the beginning. The basis of the song is a sample/loop I had recorded in my looper and took the tracks out. Each three tracks all had some drums or percussions on them, and since I don’t have the patience to work with ai-tools I just made a mix and arrangement from those elements. Then I recorded some, partly pre-written and partly improvised lyrics and it actually came out quite nice.

5. Take Us Out

I was trying to say something political but I censored myself and it came out politically blank. Kind of. For the production work this is definitely cleanest on this album. Also it makes sense to record vocals by actually listening to the takes and not just singing it five times in a row and then get exhausted and have to stop singing. So I just recorded what I needed and it was soooo much easier to edit and of course I know this by recording music at my home studios since the 90’s, but after all these years it still takes some actual effort to use everything I’ve learned when doing sessions for my own songs 😀 of course I’m professional with every one else… And thankfully I sometimes have the opportunity to have someone produce and record my vocals, which is always appreciated <3

6. The Nature Of Love

This track was completely improvised and then turned into the studio version it is now. Maybe some day I’ll release the original improvised version.

7. Understating (Love Was Fading)

Very personal song for me. Also written this year. Just now writing this, it occurred to me that actually most of these songs are pretty recent which is nice, because the last album was ranging from songs that were originally written 1 to 6 years prior.

8. Finding A Perfect Match

I still don’t know if this is complicated pop music or simple pop music and I suppose I never will.
